Why Color In Pretty?

I’m an aunt who got tired of hearing “What color should faces be?” from my nieces during craft time. They wanted to Color people who looked like them, but every coloring book required them to figure out skin tones first. So I created something different: coloring sheets with authentic, pre-colored skin tones.

Now kids can grab a page and start creating immediately—no searching for the right crayon, no wondering if they’re “doing it right.” They see themselves, their friends, family members, and others represented and can focus on the fun part: being creative.

I’ve been managing bipolar disorder since age 14. Creating has always helped me through difficult days, and I’ve learned that kids benefit from that same creative outlet. Color In Pretty started as a rainy-day activity for my nieces and has become something that helps families everywhere.
